I really like the feature, mostly because you do not need to scroll to nearest edit button to reply a comment.

Quite often I realize I made a minor error in my own comment after publishing, so to avoid the scrolling to closest "edit-button" and then back down, an edit button at your own signature, next to answer, for your own comment would be great.

We empathize with the scenario you described above.

In fact, we investigated implementing the ability to edit specific comments. Although, it is not technically feasible at this time [i]. If you are interested in knowing if/when these technical challenges are resolved, you might subscribe to this Phabricator ticket: task T245225.
