| Description |
British WW2 era Heavy Infantry Tank. This Churchill was previously on loan to the Isle of Wight Military History Museum, but is seen here outside at Bovington during ‘TankFest 2017’. It has since been moved inside the Vehicle Conservation Centre (VCC). The Tank Museum, Bovington Camp, Dorset, UK. 24th June 2017 The following info is from the excellent ‘Preservedtanks.com’:- This vehicle appears to be an early re-worked Mk I or Mk II which has been given a new turret and then upgraded to Mk VI specification by the mounting of a 75mm gun, ARV cupola and Mk VII suspension. |
