The burial of Thracians, dated to the first half of the 1st millennium BC.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The burial of Thracians discovered by archaeologists is dated to the first half of the 1st millennium BC. Orlivka village (Izmail district, Odesa region), 2015. Archaeological expedition of the Odesa Archaeological Museum and the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky" under the leadership of I.V. Bruyako, doctor of historical sciences, director of the Odessa Archaeological Museum. The specificity of this burial is that the skeleton was preserved quite well, unlike most. There is also a heavy stone under the skull, which probably served as a pillow (but there are other versions that report the stone as a certain ritual element)
