General Information

Feedback channels: List of community channels from which the feedback is collected (wikis, live meetings, etc.) Online discussions and in-person phone calls with Telugu Wikimedians happened in between December 10-15, 2022.

The announcements are made on the village pump of the Telugu Wikimedia platforms.

Feedback

Preamble

• Understanding the document is difficult, the document needs to be written in simple English.
• The complex wording in the document made it difficult for the literal translation into Telugu.

Values & Principles

• Wording can be improved in the document, for example the word "Projects" can be replaced with "sister projects" for clear reference.
• User pavan santhosh has appreciated the mention of the following idea in the values & principles section

"We commit to making space for the knowledge that has historically been marginalized - including within our projects"

Roles & Responsibilities

• Enforcing codes of conduct is good but it is not enough to bring in Inclusivity.

Miscellaneous feedback

• Community members have suggested Consulting with a legal expert in local language to write document, as the document is a legal one.
• Although the document is legal in nature, Telugu community suggests Wikimedia to take up a research into the political affiiliations of the content on movement.
